A Movie All Writers Should See!

Writer's Block - a movie that is apparently all about ways to overcome writer's block - something all writers need help with from time to time, don't you agree?

Here's the fascinating blurb: Deadlines ... what a bitch! Apparently Jack, a highly successful erotic novelist, is under pressure from his gorgeous editor to complete his latest work, which is already overdue. Jack needs a little carnal inspiration to get the creative juices flowing. A steamy threesome gets him tapping at the typewriter in no time! It's amazing how a little - or in this case, how a lot - of sex can relieve all that tension, not to mention unleash those imaginative sparks. So if you've got writer's block and you're staring at a blank piece of paper, take a tip ... things'll start looking up.

Do not click this link if you are under 18. I haven't seen it (yet), but it's high on my list! (Right after Captain Hooker and Peter Porn and The XXXorcist.)

I'm close enough to 18. Can I click?

I'm well over 18, and I don't DARE click.

*shudder*

And seriously, what writer goes "I am writerly blocked, I must make sweet carnal love to many women in order to free my muse!"

NONE.

We sit around and sulk and are moody and distracted. We wouldn't notice two beautiful women preparing for sex if they did so right in front of us and announced themselves in loud, clear voices.

I mean, unless they were twins. We're not CRAZY...

Actually, um, *I* often think that when I have writer's block.

"I can't write! Damn the world!"

"Wanna make carnal love to many women to free your mind a little?"

"You know, I do."

:D Hehehe

Actually, I just get really pissy and depressed. It screws up everything. I can't even eat correctly when I have writer's block.

My little sister can always tell when I'm having a block, because she's the first one I beat on.

when I have anything resembling writer's block (which, I don't actually believe in mind you) I go make dinner instead.

This is the Official Most Awkward Post on This Blog.

Awkward? I think not. Writer's Block is a serious issue facing MANY writers. Just because massive amounts of dirty sex doesn't work for you doesn't mean it isn't a great solution for others.

I'm just trying to HELP my fellow writers overcome a common challenge.

*grin*

I agree with Carrie. If sex can't fix it, nothing can. Sometimes, writers have to stoop to the very bottom for the sake of...research and motivation.

...Heehee.

I just wonder what the reasons were for Carrie looking for/finding that in the first place. *grin*

Peter Damien said...

Rllgthunder, you've just touched on the one question we all thought, and then avoided asking. Nice tact there, brother. ;)

Rllgthunder said...

Pfffft....Tact. You have a porn link on your blog and I bet you clicked on it.

RT, it was the link you sent me. Don't try to act innocent!

And what comment was deleted by what author?! I'm dying of curiosity here!

Peter Damien said...

It was Stephen Speilberg going "You guys can't make fun of my movies like this!"

But the lawyers had him take the comment down, pending the lawsuit.

Rllgthunder said...

I know what that deleted post said. :D

Is it just me or does anyone else chuckle every time they pull up this blog, read the top post on the main page, and then see the big words "Doing It" at the bottom?

Peter Damien said...

That's why I did it, of course. I'll entitle my next post "Boobs!" just for you.

;)

Rllgthunder said...

Maybe you better let Carrie do that. As a writer, she's better equipped. :D

(Unless your planning to blog about man boobs. If so, I'll bookmark your blog under 'icky'.)
